Our Chapter Gathering – Join us in-person or virtually!

This meeting will be at the Northside Aztlan Community Center in Eagle Rooms 1 & 2

Our chapter’s November Gathering will be our Annual Business Meeting one important activity will be electing the Board Officers and Directors at Large for the 2024 chapter activities year.

At our membership meetings this year we plan to take some time for our newer members to meet other chapter members. And hopefully start developing new friendships and meeting new fishing friends. Our General meeting this month, is November 15. Join us at 6:30 for socializing, the meeting kicks off at 7:00. We hope you will be there!

This month’s guest speaker is Steve Schweitzer.

Steve Schweitzer has been part of the fly fishing retail and conservation industry for over 25 years, including a key position as the V.P. of Sales & Marketing at Whiting Farms, where he created the popular products "Bird Fur", "Fly Tyer’s Variety Pack" and the "Whiting Hackle Gauge".

Now, an avid fly fisherman and noted fly designer, Steve enjoys backpacking, hiking and writing about fly fishing and fly tying. Steve is the author of the award-winning “A Fly Fishing Guide To Rocky Mountain National Park”, and co-authored, “A Fly Fishing Guide to Colorado's Indian Peaks Wilderness Area” with Mike Kruise.

His latest book, “Designing Poppers, Sliders and Divers” is the most comprehensive manual ever written on topwater fly lure making. Steve is also a frequent contributor to leading fly fishing periodicals including Fly Fisherman, Fly Tyer and Angling Trade Magazine. By day, Steve is VP of Sales for Steiner Optics. He resides in Northern Colorado.
