2025 Trout Expo Was a Huge Success

Bigger and Better than Ever

The RMFTU Trout Fishing Expo – the Chapter’s annual fundraiser event – was a great success on Saturday, March 29, 2025.  

We had great attendance; over 520 participants, 25 fly tyers, representatives from 24 different exhibitors and conservation-oriented non-profits, and 2 Llamas. We had the largest net revenue made over our prior years - more than $21,000 this year!

We want to again thank:

· Our Title Sponsors; St Peter’s Fly Shop, Mountain Fly Shop, and QDROMAN, along with a donation from Mike Malvey  – their sponsorship and donations made the difference by covering most of our expenses for the Expo.

· All our Exhibitors and non-profits who entertained and informed our guests.

· The Fly Tyers once again put on a great show teaching all our visitors.

· Thanks to our guest speakers; Steve Schweitzer and our exhibitor representatives that gave great talks.

· A big “Thank You” to JAX, who donated the awesome rod that we combined with a Cutthroat reel that netted $2800 in our on-line raffle!

· All of our members who volunteered to help that day – we had over 40 member volunteers who helped make the magic happen. 

· All our donor businesses and individuals who donated items for the silent auction and prizes.

It all lead to an amazing day of trout related fun, great door prizes, a great silent auction, family fun, and one of the best events we have ever had!
