The Crackleback dates back to the early '50s, created by Feathercraft founder Ed Story. It's an attractor, and performs according to how you tie it - bushy dry, sparse hackle wet, or even weighted or beaded bottom nymph.

Our Pub n Dub pattern is the bushy dry, and has Rocky Mountain National Park written all over it! It may be a simple tie, but it's a good floater and effective fish getter. What better fly to share with your beginner friends that leave a few in the trees anyway.
