Zug Bug

Zug Bug

November 2025

By Marty Staab

An old timey attractor nymph by Cliff Zug, back in the 1930s. Its unique features include the use of two materials used on many full dress salmon flies: highly iridescent peacock sword, and silver oval tinsel. Its an attractor, rather than an imitation of anything in particular. It resembles a cased caddis, a stonefly, or a damselfly nymph, and just plain looks buggy.
