Based on Phil Rowley's Chromie, this is a good choice for those large trout that cruise shallow water after ice-off. One of the best tactics is to fish this fly under an indicator. Chironomids are often fished by suspending the nymph just above the lake bottom, but the reflective design imitates the shiny emerging pupa, so explore the entire water column.
