This project will build approximately one-half mile of wildlife-friendly fencing to protect riparian habitat along Lone Pine Creek, a naturally reproducing brown trout fishery on the Lone Pine Unit of Cherokee State Wildlife Area, located approximately 30 miles NW of Fort Collins. The goal is to encourage plant growth in the riparian zone by isolating cattle from specific reaches of the creek, including beaver ponds.
