Join us for a speaker series all about beavers and resilient watersheds!

Co-hosted by Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV), Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW), Larimer Conservation District (LCD), and Rocky Mountain Flycasters (RMF), this monthly series (Feb–Sept 2026) brings together experts and community members to explore the powerful role beavers play in creating healthy, resilient ecosystems.

The April event in our Leave it to the Beavers speaker series is “Chew on This: Beaver Management in Colorado" with Boyd Wright and Brian Sullivan from CPW.

For decades, beavers were seen as a problem. Now, they are being recognized as a keystone species essential to Colorado's climate strategy. Led by Colorado Parks & Wildlife staff, we’ll explore the new statewide Beaver Conservation and Management Strategy (BCMS), covering everything from translocation protocols to cutting-edge coexistence techniques.
