Our October Chapter Gathering – Join us in-person!

This meeting will be at the Fort Collins Senior Center

NO, it’s NOT just for OLD people, it’s just a good place to meet.

At our membership meetings this Fall we plan to take some time for our newer members to meet other chapter members. And hopefully start developing new friendships and meeting new fishing friends. Join us at 6:30 for socializing, the meeting kicks off at 7:00. We hope you will be there!

*There will be a rod raffle during the meeting.

(Tickets purchased at the meeting.)

In addition, we will preview a very special online raffle that will be promoted throughout Colorado, the raffle is live now and running through early December. The winner to be announced at our Holiday party on December 3. This will be an opportunity to win a beautiful custom bamboo rod paired with a numbered Ross Greenback Cutthroat reel, both will be on display at the meeting.

We will be starting our meeting Fly Swap again.

The fly for October is your favorite Fall Streamer fly

The fly for the October general meeting is a favorite Fall Streamer fly, such as a Wooly Bugger, Sex Dungeon, Autumn Splendor, etc.   Please let Dave Morse know if you would like to tie this fly for the Swap.  As usual, you are asked to tie enough copies of your fly so everyone will get one of yours. In return you will get one from each other tier. Include a little recipe or toe tag, attached to your fly with details of what materials were used.   Submit your flies at the start of the October meeting to me in a container with your name on it and I will sort them for all participants, returning your new flies to you at the meeting.. So send me an email at dgmorse45@gmail.com if you will participate this month.  Typically, we have 6 to 8 participants, but I will let you know the right number a week before the meeting.

Thanks for sharing. It is a lot of fun and is educational. Dave Morse, Swap Coordinator.
