Volunteer Opportunity: Habitat Enhancement Project

We are seeking volunteers to assist with a habitat enhancement project at Dixon Reservoir in Fort Collins on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Project Description:
The work will involve moving 20–60 lb rocks into UTVs for transport and unloading them to create rubble piles on riprap along the reservoir bottom.

What to Bring:

  • Work gloves

  • Appropriate clothing

  • Sturdy footwear

  • Water bottle

Provided: Colorado Parks and Wildlife will provide tools if needed.

Accessibility:
If you have any physical limitations, please let us know in advance so we can plan tasks accordingly.

Meeting Location & Time:
Please arrive at the Dixon Reservoir parking lot no later than 9:00 AM.

The project will consist of helping loading and unloading 20-60 pound rocks from a UTV and install rip rap to create "rubble piles" for habitat.
