Rocky Mountain Flycasters’ Awards for 2025
Each year, Rocky Mountain Flycasters recognizes individuals who go above and beyond to assure the Chapter succeeds in meeting our impressive watershed conservation goals, our youth education goals and generally keep our Chapter moving forward at a high level. These awards were presented at the April 2026 general membership gathering. Mickey McGuire, Chair of the Leadership Development and Nominations Committee recognized several volunteers for their outstanding efforts on behalf of the Chapter.
Please congratulate the following individuals for their significant time and efforts:
Exemplary Chapter Function
Padyn Knapp: For his outstanding and energetic efforts in spreading the mission of Rocky Mountain Flycasters through social media.
Ursula Miller: For generously donating time and talent by helping to organize the silent auction for Rocky Mountain Flycasters’ annual Expo across several years.
Geoff Goetz: For bringing outstanding effort, knowledge, and alternative ideas to ensure Rocky Mountain Flycasters has a secure and abundant income as Chair of the Financial Development Committee.
Exemplary Youth Education
Rob Mulcair: For his outstanding efforts across many years of contributing time and talent to Rocky Mountain Flycasters’ youth education program through community events, Stream Girls and the NOCO Youth Fishing Camp.
Exemplary Conservation Volunteer
Mason Milligan: For leading the design and construction of a new informational kiosk at the newly established lake that will harbor greenback cutthroat trout brood stock for many years.
Outstanding Chapter Volunteer
Dave Morse: For his continued outstanding efforts leading Rocky Mountain Flycasters’ Veterans' program through many years of planning, implementing and encouraging participation of past and current military personnel in fly tying, rod building and on water fishing.
President’s Award: Presented by Don Gilmore
Marty Staab: "Marty has spent many hours through the years providing his time and expertise helping others to become better fly tiers and anglers. His service to the Expo, Education Committee and Veterans Committee have led to new people joining Rocky Mountain Flycasters which makes my job as President easier."
Gary Cline: "Gary has been a huge asset to the Chapter and to me personally. He serves on several committees and volunteers for activities sponsored by other committees. He willingly participates when asked and always does a superb job."
